Austin Chapter
SPWLA, Austin chapter is a professional group, focused on education, to promote the petrophysical knowledge of young students and professionals, to fill the gap between students and professionals and to increase SPWLA membership. Being located in The University of Texas at Austin, great opportunities are available to accomplish the aforementioned goals. In fact, numerous students and high levels of education at the Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering Department in UT, and the existence of the Formation Evaluation group devoted to education in petrophysics and well logging gives us the desired set to put forward the educational agenda and affect many students and potential professionals. This chapter is open to any suggestions and contributions from professionals.
